Superscenes #1: Eulogy for Lady Babylon

Superscenes é o novo fluxo de material adicional.  Elas são resumos de aventura de uma página e agnósticas para sistema que fornecem cenas e antagonistas principais.

Esta primeira Superscene é pública, mas as próximas serão inicialmente restritas aos apoiadores, tornando-se disponíveis a todos dois meses após sua publicação.

Como os resumos não estão associados a nenhum sistema, uso formatação para codificar certas informações. Aqui está a lista:

NPCs em negrito: o personagem é descrito no final.

Texto sublinhado: as habilidades e poderes do personagem.

Texto sublinhado e itálico: nível de oposição do NPC em relação aos PCs.

• Multi-PC: o NPC é forte o suficiente para desafiar o grupo inteiro
• PC: o NPC é equivalente em poder a um único PC
• Sub-PC: o NPC requer ajuda para enfrentar um único PC

Superscenes is our new stream of additional material. They are one-page, system-agnostic adventure prompts that give you story beats and main antagonists.

This first Superscene is public, but later ones will initially be restricted to Patrons, becoming freely available to everyone two months after publication.

Since the prompts aren’t associated with any system, I use formatting to codify certain information. Here’s the breakdown:

Bolded NPCs: the character is described at the end.

Underlined text: the character’s abilties and powers.

Underlined and italic text: level of opoosition of the NPC in relation to the PC group.

• Multi-PC: the NPC is strong enough to challenge the whole party
• PC: the NPC is equivalent in power to a single PC
• Sub-PC: the NPC requires help to handle a single PC

As always, comments, criticisms and suggestions are welcome.

O Feiticeiro de Volupa

Após 26 anos sem ganhar dinheiro com o RPG, finalmente vou fazer um troco. Saiu o suplemento The Sorcerer of Volupa para Honor +  Intrigue (H+I),  um RPG de capa & espada que usa o sistema do Barbarians of Lemuria. Superseeds #4: Kill Paragon!

Kill Paragon! é o quarto artigo da minha coluna na RPG.net, Superseeds. Neste, falo sobre uma aventura para supervilões, que foram contratados para matar o maior super-herói do mundo.

Lady Blackbird

Estava vendo os tópicos de recrutamento para jogos na RPG.net e achei um que vai usar o módulo Lady Blackbird, de John Harper. É uma aventura gratuita no gênero steampunk que inclui a cena inicial, uma ambientação (mínima: uma página do total de 9), personagens pré-gerados e umas regras rápidas, aleem da ficha da nave celeste, The Owl (A Coruja). DannyK, o mestre do jogo na RPG.net, descreveu a aventura como uma mistura de steampunk, Firefly, Guerra nas Estrelas velha guarda e de uma pitada de Warcraft. Bom, não sei quanto a este último, mas pelo que vi do módulo, a descrição está correta. E se você não quiser as regras dele, o módulo pode ser facilmente adaptado ao seu sistema preferido. Aqui está a introdução do cenário (em inglês):

Lady Blackbird is on the run from an arranged marriage to Count Carlowe. She hired a smuggler skyship, The Owl, to take her from her palace on the Imperial world of Ilysium to the far reaches of the Remnants, so she could be with her once secret lover: the pirate king Uriah Flint.

However, just before reaching the halfway point of Haven, The Owl was pursued and captured by the Imperial cruiser Hand of Sorrow, under charges of flying a false flag.

Even now, Lady Blackbird, her bodyguard, and the crew of The Owl are detained in the brig, while the Imperial commander runs the smuggler ship’s registry over the wireless. It’s only a matter of time before they discover the outstanding warrants and learn that The Owl is owned by none other than the infamous outcast, Cyrus Vance.

How will Lady Blackbird and the others escape the Hand of Sorrow?

What dangers lie in their path?

Will they be able to find the secret lair of the pirate king? if they do, will Uriah Flint accept Lady Blackbird as his bride? By the time they get there, will she want him to?
